Dude, Where's My
Boat?
Sea Ray owner Amy Johnson finally found a chunk of free time
and headed for the slip where she keeps her prized 55 Sundancer. She
was shocked to find her Sea Ray had somehow shoved off without her.
She scratched her head and said in bewilderment, "Where could it be?" If
Amy had the proven Marine Magellan Wireless Security & Monitoring
System from Paradox Marine with the NAV TRACKER GPS Tracking System,
she would already have an answer to that question, and she would have
been alerted the moment her boat left port without her.
Formerly this type of GPS tracking was only available for commercial
use. Not any more! Sea Ray owners can monitor their boats with the NAV
TRACKER, a system that can be wirelessly added to any Marine Magellan
System onboard or used as a stand-alone device. When armed, the NAV
TRACKER sets a 500m safety zone "Geo-Fence" radius around
the boat. If the fence is breached, the boat owner will receive an
e-mail or text message, to 4 recipients, every 15 minutes displaying
its location and other detailed information.
Amy remembered that her brother had borrowed the boat to take
his family to Bimini. To prevent unnecessary confusion and panic in
the future, she decided to use her free time to take advantage of
Paradox Marine's exclusive Sea Ray Owners Club offer and order
a complete Marine Magellan Security and Monitoring System with a NAV
TRACKER. Members who buy a Marine Magellan Security & Monitoring
System receive one additional remote key fob and an initial six months
of NAV TRACKER service for FREE.
Amy takes full advantage of having a Marine Magellan system
installed and utilizes the monitoring aspects of the system by
turning her cockpits lights on /off and turning on /off her ice
maker remotely. It is a treat to not only know the location of her
boat, but also that the icemaker will be primed and ready for
cocktail hour. The system will also notify her if any alarms are set
off on her Sea Ray, including those for smoke, high water, low
voltage, loss of shore power and intrusion. The insurance discount
wasn't bad to boot. And, really, she's just glad she can keep closer
tabs on her boat-borrowing brother. Finally, peace of mind!
